Important Notice to All Contractors Regarding Testing
Effective August 1, 2025, all trade examinations administered by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) will transition to PSI Services LLC (PSI).
This change will streamline the examination process and provide examinees with enhanced scheduling options and testing resources.
Key Information for Individuals with Pending Examinations
Please be advised that if you have any trade examinations currently pending with the LSLBC and would prefer to test at one of our 11 authorized testing locations, you must schedule and complete your examination prior to August 1, 2025.
After August 1, 2025
LSLBC’s 11 authorized testing locations, including the Baton Rouge location, will no longer be available for exam scheduling. PSI offers a wide network of testing centers, and more specific information on these locations will be available through PSI’s registration portal.
All examination scheduling and payment will be managed directly through PSI. Information regarding PSI’s registration procedures, available testing locations, and fees will be provided in a subsequent update to the LSLBC website.
Action Required!
If you have a pending trade examination and wish to test at an LSLBC location, please take immediate action to schedule your examination before the August 1, 2025, deadline. In order to schedule an exam, the user must be logged onto the LSLBC Web Portal with their qualifying party login information. These credentials were originally emailed to the designated qualifying party at the time they were approved to take the examination.
